What is the difference between PP pipe and
PPH pipe
The special materials for PP pipes are divided into three generations: the first generation is modified by homopolypropylene, which is called PP-H, the second generation is polymerized by PP and PE block copolymerization process, which is called PP-B, and the third generation is random. It is modified from copolymerized polypropylene, called PP-R. The main differences are:
The processing performance and environmental stress cracking resistance of these three materials were improved in turn.
PP-B has poor strength and better impact resistance, PP-H has better strength and poor impact resistance (more brittle), and PP-R avoids this defect.
The strength of PP-B and PP-H pipes decreases significantly after one year of manufacture, while PP-R pipes maintain high strength even after 50 years.
Some special varieties of imported PP-B, whose performance is close to PP-R, are also excellent pipe materials.
