  • 79
    1979
Zhenhai Chemical Valve Factory was established. With guidance from Shanghai valve and chemical experts, the company produced its first plastic diaphragm valve for corrosive media in domestic enterprises.
  • 83
    1983
The plastic diaphragm valve passed the technical appraisal of the Ministry of Chemical Industry, marking the beginning of large-scale plastic valve adoption in China's chemical industry.
  • 88
    1988
The large-diameter plastic diaphragm valve passed the Ministry's technical appraisal, reaching DN200 for the first time. This achievement enabled import substitution of plastic valves in highly corrosive environments.
  • 90
    1990
The company's reinforced polypropylene ball valve passed the "Spark Program" acceptance test. Plastic ball valves began replacing metal ball valves in low-pressure corrosive media.
  • 92
    1992
The company developed a PVDF diaphragm valve, introducing PVDF materials to the chemical industry. The same year, Mr. Chen Yongping invented the one-piece plastic flanged ball valve. Easy to install and leak-resistant, the PP flanged ball valve became the most widely used plastic valve in China.
  • 94
    1994
Zhenhai Chemical Valve Factory was restructured. The company strengthened its technical and marketing capabilities. Corrosion-resistant plastic valves expanded from chlor-alkali and hydrochloric acid sectors to the broader chemical industry. The company led the formulation of Ministry-level standards for plastic diaphragm valves and plastic ball valves.
  • 99
    1999
The company developed industrial plastic butterfly valves, globe valves, check valves, and other plastic valve types, further promoting their use across the chemical industry.
  • 00
    2000
Beilun Plastic Valve Factory was established. The facility was relocated and expanded, with equipment upgrades enabling production of diaphragm and ball valves up to DN300, and butterfly valves up to DN600. Applications spread to metallurgy, mining, semiconductors, and other industries. The same year, the company began producing various pipe fittings. Zhenhai Chemical Valve Factory was officially dissolved.
  • 06
    2006
Baodi Plastic Valve Co., Ltd. was established. The company introduced KraussMaffei extrusion equipment and began producing UPVC, CPVC, FRPP, PPH, and PVDF pipes and fittings.
  • 09
    2009
Successfully developed UPVC and CPVC pipes up to DN600, making Baodi one of the earliest industrial pipe manufacturers in China capable of producing this specification.
  • 11
    2011
The company relocated and expanded again. It obtained ISO 9001 certification and a special equipment manufacturing license, and began participating in bidding and construction of large-scale chemical projects.
  • 13
    2013
Baodi achieved comprehensive coverage of ANSI, DIN, and major JIS standard valves. The number of plastic valve product categories reached one of the highest globally, supporting rapid growth in international business.
  • 17
    2017
The company adopted the product strategy of "Continuous Innovation, Global Competitiveness". It developed a dedicated automated flanged ball valve platform for harsh industrial conditions, promoting the adoption of automated plastic valves. The all-plastic pneumatic diaphragm valve for highly corrosive environments was developed, reducing reliance on imports. Butterfly valve size capacity was expanded to DN1000.
  • 21
    2021
Baodi was recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise. The company successfully developed UPVC and CPVC pipes up to DN700, becoming one of the few domestic manufacturers capable of producing this size. It led the update of chemical industry standards for diaphragm and ball valves.
  • 24
    2024
Baodi was re-awarded National High-Tech Enterprise status. The company led the development of the national standard for plastic diaphragm valves and the chemical industry standard for plastic check valves. It developed a new generation of industrial plastic diaphragm valves, launched an all-plastic pneumatic corrosion-resistant actuator, and began offering non-standard valve customization services.
